Sound advice [get it?] and Terra Speakers in Sound + Communications

In the cover story for the latest Sound and Communications, our friend and colleague Steve Minozzi [of Monte Brothers] laid a heap of wisdom about sound, speech and aesthetic considerations for house of worship installs. Photos of our CAMM Series are prominently featured throughout.

Specifically, Minozzi makes a case study out of his experience with balancing these factors at Brooklyn’s St. Finbar Catholic Church.

Pictured above is a CAMM DT-200 at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia, another Monte Brothers installation

“The goals of the pastor were to preserve the aesthetic beauty of this magnificent church, says Minozzi in the feature, “and accurately replicate the intelligibility and acoustical quality of the spoken word and… music int he listening and performing areas.” He goes on, “In other words… a sound system that ‘looks good’ and ‘sounds good.'”

You can read how Minozzi, a veteran in the field, and company managed to pull this off and learn a good deal along the way.
