The DT-200 is a compact high performance sound reinforcement/monitor speaker primarily designed to be used either alone in smaller spaces or as an adjunct to larger primary speakers in larger venues. The DT-200 is an ideal mate to CAMM line source or full range sound reinforcement models when incorporated with CAMM’s critical zone digital delay technology. This is an advanced time delay system using primary front speakers and appropriately delayed side speakers to cover larger venues while maintaining superb clarity, even under the most difficult conditions.
The two-way DT-200 accurately reproduces voice and music with superb clarity and detail. Its designed limited low frequency extension can benefit from either a subwoofer or other full range speakers when used for music in larger spaces. Its high performance design means it should be driven by an amplifier with at least 40 to 50 watts RMS. The DT-200 can safely handle up to 150 watts of clean power thus providing great dynamic range.
The DT-200 is comprised of a CAMM built 5.25-inch ACAD™ woofer/midrange driver (aluminum/ceramic/aluminum sandwich cone) using an aluminum alloy frame and powerful vented ceramic motor structure. This driver also features CAMM’s MFCS™ spider-free fluid voice-coil centering system that not only centers the voice coil during operation and lowers distortion significantly, it provides substantial voice coil cooling capability. The resulting temperature reduction allows the system to play louder with dramatically reduced distortion and minimal dynamic compression. These two technologies provide a wide range of performance benefits not the least of which is that they help ensure optimum performance even in spaces that aren’t consistently heated or cooled.
Clean and clear high frequencies are provided by a proprietary CAMM fluid cooled 1-inch damped silk dome tweeter. This high performance tweeter delivers exceptionally smooth and extended HF performance with excellent dispersion and rugged reliability. Crossover duties are performed by a full L/C, third order crossover developed using advanced computer modeling and built using carefully selected, high performance components.
The tapered DT-200 enclosure is made from ¾” MDF and finished with a durable off-white paint. The removable cloth grille is easily changed if desired. Custom colors for both the enclosure and grille fabric are available at additional cost. Connections are made using gold plated multi-way binding posts. Mounting may be done using the optional powder-coated dedicated bracket or by custom methods.
Like every CAMM speaker, the DT-200 is built in Maine and comes with an industry leading 10-year Warranty against defects in workmanship and manufacturing.
